The AT2040 is a hypercardioid dynamic XLR podcast microphone designed to deliver broadcast-quality, clear vocal recording for podcasters, streamers, YouTubers and other content creators. Its large diaphragm element and dynamic design provide warm, rich and professional-sounding vocals while minimising background noise in typical home and project studio environments.

Based on Audio-Technica’s BP40 broadcast microphone, the AT2040 uses a multistage internal windscreen combining foam mesh and a nonwoven pop filter to control pops and hiss. An integrated shock mount further reduces noise and vibration transmitted through tripods and boom arms, and the hypercardioid polar pattern offers tight, highly directional pickup for excellent vocal isolation.
