The ATV-SG1 is a compact on-camera shotgun condenser microphone designed for DSLR, mirrorless SLR, and other cameras. A newly designed 14 mm large-diameter diaphragm provides high sensitivity and low noise for natural, high-resolution audio capture. The highly directional 100 mm acoustic tube keeps pickup focused on the sound source while reducing unwanted background noise, and the integrated shock mount dissipates handling noise caused by camera movement and vibrations. Audio-Technica's patented noise-immunity technology provides resistance to hum and RF interference from smartphones and other electronic devices.

A stepless gain adjustment knob on the rear of the unit allows on-the-fly level control, while a low-cut filter switch attenuates low-frequency noise from wind, traffic, and HVAC systems. The safety track feature splits the audio signal, recording the set gain level to the left channel and a -6 dB reduced level to the right channel, helping to ensure a clean, usable recording even in the event of unexpected volume spikes. An external input jack and accessory shoe allow a wireless lavalier receiver or plug-in-powered wired lavalier microphone to be connected for simultaneous shotgun and lavalier recording. A headphone jack with volume adjustment enables real-time monitoring.

The 12-sided shoe mounting plate allows the microphone to be rotated in 30-degree increments for flexible horizontal positioning, and the slide rail allows forward and backward adjustment for versatile placement. The built-in USB rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 24 hours of continuous operation, and the microphone powers on and off automatically with the camera.
