Product Information

The CYP CR-IPS1 is a compact IP to serial control unit designed to control a single RS-232/422/485 device over a network. Commands are sent to the connected device via a 3-pin or 5-pin adapter cable from the single Phoenix output port. Control is available via Web GUI, Telnet, or console (RS-232 input), and the unit supports IEEE 802.1x RTS/CTS protocol. Power is supplied either via a 12V/1.25A external adapter or Power over Ethernet (PoE), removing the need for a local power supply where a PoE network switch is available. Status LEDs indicate power and Ethernet connection state, and firmware can be updated in the field via USB or using the onboard hotkey.

 

Ideal For

Suited to AV installations requiring simple, network-based serial control of a single device — such as a display, projector, or other RS-232/422/485-controlled equipment — where compact form factor and PoE powering are advantageous.
