The CYP SDV-FTRX-BD provides high-quality, IP-routable AV extension with minimum latency for the SDVoE range of 10G AV over IP. Every transceiver is capable of simultaneous bi-directional AV extension, and a sophisticated ultra-light compression scheme — lossless for most content — makes it suitable for extending 4K audio/video streams over HDMI or DisplayPort along with data. Advanced HDMI content such as HDR, 10-bit colour and multi-channel HD Bitstream audio can be carried in pass-through mode.

Using standard fibre cable, point-to-point transmission of the video signal is supported up to 300m via the supplied Multi-Mode fibre module, with IR, RS-232, USB 2.0 and Ethernet able to be transmitted alongside the audio and video. When combined with the optional SDV-CS8 IP Master Controller, multiple transceivers or SDVoE TX/RX units can be joined with one or more 10 Gigabit Ethernet switches to form a distributed video matrix, with multiview and video wall configuration adding further flexibility for large event installations.

The integrated USB hub on each transceiver can act as a simple point-to-point KVM extension or be freely routed between any two endpoints, supporting multi-user, control room and on-demand scenarios. Built-in EDID and HDCP management helps the unit fit into a wide range of situations. The bi-directional design also allows true multiview signals to be created within a video wall arrangement by adding a single SDV-FTRX-BD to an SDVoE system. Basic configuration is carried out via front panel buttons with an OSD, while advanced control requires the optional SDV-CS8 IP Master Controller.
